Happy Friday friends! I hope you are having a great week and have lots of creative plans for your weekend! This week I am sharing a tutorial on how to make Textured Collage Boards. They are simple boards you can make out of cardboard or in my case old packaging! I love recycling so I tend to not throw this stuff away, so it’s fun to find new uses for it! The supplies can be as limited or extravagant as you want, you just need some white cardboard and some tools to make some texture!

I started by painting my cardboard with gesso to thicken it up, then went to town on them with some paint markers!

I added some black and white and then grabbed my gesso. I used a baby wipe to go through the stencil (one of my favorite ways to use gesso!)

I then mixed up some texture gel and heavy body paint and used them with more stencils! I also added another coat of course texture gel and poured some glitter into that!

Last step was adding embossing with stamps!! You could use clear to add more texture as well but I always welcome the opportunity for more color!

Here they all are finished! Here’s a few close ups of the yummy texture!

I made two little bookmarks out of them but you could use it for tags, cards, mixed media canvases, ornaments, garland, journal covers and journal emphemera!
